drabble by goodpilgrim: trains
77. Anything You Want (Spoon) - Cho/Michael and Cho figuring out the meaning behind his obsession with trains (spoiler alert: it's secret code for his love for Cho)
'Cause you know you're the one and that that hasn't changed
Since you were nineteen and stillin out of school waiting...
Even now that he's all grown up, Platform 9-3/4 at King's Cross still gives Michael a fluttery feeling in his stomach, because he remembers from that final year what it was like to anticipate being reunited with Cho. "Sometimes I think I might like to take a train somewhere, anywhere, doesn't matter, as long as I end up back here, because there's nothing like coming home to you," he confesses as they wait for their childrens' train to arrive. Cho presses her hand more tightly into his and leans in to him and says, "And I'd let you go, because I know all your trains will always lead straight to me."
